Earlene (Constantineau) and Dick Desrochers recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The Desrocherses were married Oct. 24, 1959, at Ste. Marie Church in Lowell, Mass. They resided in Westford, Mass., for 33 years, where they raised a family of three sons, Mark, Mike and Gary, and three daughters, Cheryl Fletcher, Gayle Bosse and Lynn Willey. In 1992, they moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., and subsequently to Seattle on business assignments. In 1999, they returned to the East Coast and settled in Nashua. Dick Desrochers worked for 40 years in the software industry with RCA, MITRE, ACSI and GTE/Gen-Dynamics. He owned and operated a software consulting company for 13 years from 1979-92 and eventually retired in 2001 after a brief return to the West Coast with TCSI in Alameda, Calif. Earlene Desrochers is an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction novels and never leaves home without a book. She loves to do needlepoint and spend time with their 14 grandchildren, who all live in Massachusetts. The Desrochers celebrated their anniversary beginning with a renewal of their wedding vows at Parish of the Resurrection, followed by a grand party at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Nashua hosted by their six children and their families. Guests included 135 members of their family, relatives and friends from Maine to Florida. Also included on the guest list were six of Dick Desrochers’ former Navy shipmates and their wives. |
