Dugans celebrate 60th anniversary

Louis Edward “Ed” Dugan and Barbara Dugan, of Bedford, former longtime residents of Merrimack, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Ed and the former Barbara Hintz were married April 10, 1950, at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. They have seven children, Patrick Dugan, of Rhinelander, Wis.; Kate Carter, of Belchertown, Mass.; Bill Dugan, of Faribault, Minn.; Mary Beth King, of St. Cloud, Minn.; Caroline Dugan-Gerlach, of Milwaukee, Wis.; Jeanne Wilson, of Brookline; and Teresa Dainesi, of Bedford. Additionally, they have 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A family party was held in their honor at their daughter’s home in Bedford. Afterward, the couple renewed their wedding vows at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford. Ed is a retired operations manager for Nova Tran Corporation in Amherst. Barbara is a retired vice president of motherhood, having stayed home to raise her seven children. |
