Greg and Sandra Pelletier of Amherst announce the engagement of their son, Joshua Pelletier of New Orleans, Louisiana to Brittany Blockman of New Orleans, Louisiana. Brittany is the daughter of Jerome Blockman and the late Dana Blockman of Memphis, Tennessee.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Souhegan High School in 2000. Graduated with a BA from Wesleyan University, Middleton, CT. in 2004. He served as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2004-2007 in Tanzania, East Africa. He received a Master in Public Health from Tulane University in 2010 and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of New Orleans. He is employed as a research analyst at Tulane University.

The bride-to-be graduated from the St. Mary’s Episcopal School in Memphis, Tennessee. Graduated from Princeton University in 2003. She received a Master in Medical Anthropology from Harvard University in 2004 and attended the MFA program in film at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She has directed and produced two Award winning Documentary films Bi the Way in 2008 and THE LOOKING GLASS HOUSE in 2003. She

currently is a third year Medical student at Tulane University in New Orleans.
