Jennifer Christine Guild and William Umesh Murthy were married on Saturday, September 5, 2009, in New York City, by Shauna Kanter, an ordained non-denominational minister. The ceremony and reception were held at Thalassa Restaurant in Manhattan.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Marty Guild of Merrimack, NH. The groom is the son of the late Anasuya Tarikere.

Matron of Honor was Christina Guild, sister-in-law of the bride. Best Man was David Schleider, friend of the groom.

Mrs. Murthy is a 1991 graduate of Nashua Senior HIgh School and a 1995 graduate of the University of Tampa, Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications. She is a communications manager for American Express.

Dr. Murthy is a 1993 graduate of Newtown High School, Queens, NY; a 1998 graduate of City College, Manhattan, NY, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology; and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, where he earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2002 and a degree in orthodontics in 2007. He served as a captain in the Air Force Dental Corps from 2002-2005. Dr. Murthy is currently in practice in Cambridge and Danvers, Massachusetts.

The couple honeymooned on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, and resides in Cambridge.
