Miss Alicia Anne Childs and Mr. Roger Windrem Dowd, Jr. were married on October 10, 2009. The ceremony was held at The United Church of Christ in Amherst, New Hampshire with the Rev. Richard G. Leavitt officiating. A reception followed at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Robert Lawson of Amherst, New Hampshire and

the granddaughter of Mr. Edmund S. Childs, Jr. and the late Anne S. Childs of Longmeadow, MA. The groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Dowd and the late Roger Windrem Dowd of Long Island, New York.

The bride’s sister, Miss Kristine Perry of Boston, MA, was the maid of honor and her sister, Miss Kimberly Perry of Portsmouth, NH, was her bridesmaid.

The groom’s brother, Mr. Christopher Dowd of Long Island, NY served as best man and Mr.Kirk Chisolm of Boston, MA served as groomsman.

The bride graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of New Hampshire in 1966 and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 2000. She is

employed at Segal Advisors in Boston.

The groom graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1993. He is employed as an Independent Proprietary Trader and previously worked for UBS and Morgan Stanley.

The couple honeymooned in Barbados and reside in Boston.
